Batchoy sa Ilawod in Santa Barbara

Craving for batchoy? Time to give Batchoyan sa Ilawod a visit!
It maybe a bit far from the usual batchoy stops but doesn't deter foodies from all over Iloilo.
Located along Libertad Street, just ask any tricycle driver - they'll take you there.
Just follow the signs along the road. Trust your sense of smell when you walk along the alley going to the eatery.
A typical batchoyan ambiance greets you when you enter. You can hear the clicks of scissors, the clanking of bowls and aroma ( and the heat) steaming from the kitchen.
Order you batchoy as soon as you get there since the queue is quite long and they have calde-caldero of take out orders too!
Savor and enjoy eating your batchoy - pork, liver, fried intestines, meke and bottomless caldo.
Add some pan de leche and drinks too! Don't worry, its just PhP50 per bowl.
If you prefer it To-Go, just a few pesos but you need to bring your own container for the caldo.
Be there early (morning is the best time) as it stops serving batchoy  early of mid-afternoon around 3pm or when their supply lasts.
Now, it's time for you to discover, experience and enjoy this gastronomic offering - Batchoy sa Ilawod!
