Guinomis Recipe

How to make Guinomis

Guinomis Recipe – Despite it being the officially rainy season, it still is very comforting and refreshing to eat something cool. There are a lot of refreshing drinks/desserts to choose from, from a whole menu of Filipino snacks, but one unique refreshment that some of you may not have heard of yet is Guinomis.

Guinomis is a cold snack similar to halo-halo because of all the combination of ingredients. And just like Halo-Halo, Guinomis also has the same history because the Japanese dessert, kakigori inspired it; the mixture of ingredients with ice as its main ingredient. This very delicious snack is like a good picker-upper in the middle of the day; the coolness helps awaken the spirits.

Guinomis is a dessert that I highly suggest many people try because of the simplicity in making it, exquisite taste, refreshing feel, and the benefits of some of its ingredients. One ingredient for this snack is coconut milk. Coconut milk is known to be useful in improving one’s heart health because of the high healthy fat content it contains. Other than that, the lauric acid found in it is also good for the immune system, thus helps in warding off different sicknesses and diseases. It can also enhance bone strength because of the calcium content.
