But really, we only use a few. If you’re looking to cook something quickly, you’ll use “Manual” or “Pressure Level” most often. (They’re the same thing; it just depends what model you have). In most of our dinner recipes, we’re pressure cooking at a high level. To sear foods, you’ll also want to use the “Sauté” button. Why do I get the “burn” alert EVERY. SINGLE. TIME? Not as ideal: crunchy food like fried chicken (the pressure cooking environment is too wet!), rare meats, most seafood, and cakes—with the exception of cheesecake (and the epic Peanut Butter Molten Cake from Party In An Instant Pot). How do I know which recipes will work for my model of Instant Pot? When cooking from Party In An Instant Pot, you should be able to use any model.
