Pork Chops in Mushroom Gravy

I know you're fantasizing about Jollibee Burgersteak everytime you hear about "mushroom gravy".

By the way S&R's version of this is way much better but it was just for a limited period of time, hence back to to Bee.

But you can always have this mouth-watering dish at the comfort of your home and it wont be limited to burger patties. Try any fried meat and you'll be asking for more.

So how about some pork chops with this yummy mushroom gravy?

INGREDIENTS

  • 6 pcs pork chops.
  • 1 cup sliced button mushrooms
  • 2 Tbsp. oil (from fried pork chops)
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 beef boullion cube
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste

HOW TO COOK PORK CHOPS IN MUSHROOM GRAVY

  1. Fry porkchops until golden brown. Set aside.
  2. In the same pan, saute the mushroom until brown. Set aside
  3. Heat another pan, melt the butter and add little oil. (Test by sprinkling a little flour and when it bubbles, it is ready)
  4. Add flour and stir until the mixture turns light brown and becomes paste-like.
  5. Pour in the beef broth made using 2 cups of water and one boullion cube.
  6. Season with salt and pepper and bring to a boil. Stir until it turns into a thick gravy. Make some taste adjustments. (You may add soy or worcestershire sauce)
  7. When satisfied with the taste and consistency, mix-in the mushrooms and simmer for a minute.
  8. When done, serve sauce on top of fried porkchops. You can also add the pork into the gravy and simmer.

This measurements here are just guides in this recipe and you can always create your own according to your own taste.

One can also use one big slice of pork meat maybe around a kilo. This one requires boiling until tender before frying. Ofcourse this recipe is also delicious with homemade meat patties with slight seasoning for the gravy will just do the trick.

ENJOY!!!
