To all our wonderful, loyal readers: We wish you and your loved ones a Happy Thanksgiving!
2020 has been wrought with hardship for so many of us, which makes expressing gratitude this year both more difficult and more essential than ever. So, in the spirit of tradition, we wanted to pause to reflect on all the things we at Simply Recipes have been grateful for throughout this trying year.
No matter how you plan to celebrate today, we hope your day is filled with warmth and love.

From Emma Christensen, Editor-in-Chief:
This year, I am truly grateful for our team here at Simply Recipes, and I want to take a moment to acknowledge all of them. Thank you's and high fives to Summer, our senior editor; Cambria, our product and lifestyle director; Andy, our art director; and Megan, our marketing director. Also to our part-time folks: Claudia, our community manager; Rachel, our editorial assistant; and Sara B, our editor at large.
MASSIVE shout-outs to all our writers, without whom we wouldn't have a website! That's Aaron, Marta, Kalisa, Sam, Sally, Katie, Sheela, Coco, Irvin, Nick, Ali, Sarah F, Rachael, Ariane, Elana, Garrett, Jessica, Sarah W, and Cecilia. The same goes to our recipe testing crew: Bryce, Shannon, and Martha.
Alison and Sally have been our go-to photographers for several years now, while Laura, Ben, Ali, and Josh are crucial to our video content. Kudos to Jeff, our SEO consultant, as well as to the dev team at Fexy for keeping the site humming.
I hope I didn't miss anyone! From the bottom of my heart, thank you to all of you. There's no way Simply Recipes would have gotten through this crazy year without every single one of these people.

From Cambria Bold, Product and Lifestyle Director:
I'm grateful for the flip-side positives of this year, the bright sides in the midst of the difficulties.
Being able to see my kids so much since they've been full-time distance learning at home; taking more family walks since it was the only safe activity; date nights at the kitchen counter with my husband, enjoying takeout from a local restaurant we could no longer visit in person; being able to safely see grandparents because we've self-quarantined.
I will not be sad to see 2020 in the rear view mirror, but when I think back on this year, I hope I remember the positives more than the struggles.

From Summer Miller, Senior Editor:
My family is healthy and with each passing day I'm grateful most of all for that.

From Andy Christensen, Art Director:
Looking back on a year SO full of challenges and twists and turns on many levels, I'm thankful for what it has revealed in me personally and in the greater world. This year I'm grateful for time to reflect, recalibrate, and grow toward new things. I'm also especially grateful for my wife who holds so much together for our family and lifts us up no matter what storm we're facing.

From Rachel Knecht, Editorial Assistant
This year I am incredibly thankful to be able to take walks with friends around our neighborhood, for teachers that keep online school engaging, a spouse to laugh and cry with, and indoor hobbies!

From Claudia Cash, Community Manager
I have so much to be grateful for this year. Like many of you, 2020 did not go as planned and has had many twists and turns, but it's been a beautiful year. I'm so thankful for a warm home that has provided safety and comfort for my family. I'm grateful for Simply Recipes and the community I've felt amongst our team and all our readers. I have five beautiful and strong-willed daughters who are my sidekicks in everything and a husband who supports me 100% in everything I do. However, I'm most grateful for the ability to give and for the chance to teach my children to give. I strive to always look for those who are in need and to lift them up, whether it's through a simple smile, participating in a blanket drive, or through dropping off treats to a neighbor.
