NEW RECIPES! Skillet Chicken Thighs, Ambrosia Salad, Shrimp Gumbo with Sausage, and MORE!

Hi, everyone!

How are things looking where you are? We did a major pantry re-stocking this weekend — after three weeks of social isolation here in California, our cupboards were starting to look pretttty bare! If you're in one of the areas that's been isolating for a while, I'm guessing you're in the same boat.

Here are a few grocery shopping tips and ideas for right now:

  • Our partner site, Relish, just launched this really handy stock checker so that you can see whether common groceries and toiletries are in stock at your nearby stores before you go. 
     
  • Speaking of Relish, don't forget that you can click "Add to Shopping List" from any of our recipes to add those ingredients to your Relish account! There, you can scale recipes up or down, create and print a consolidated shopping list with several recipes all together, or even transfer your shopping list to Instacart, Walmart, or other grocers for delivery or pick-up.
     
  • If you DO order your groceries online, I'm hearing that pick-up and delivery windows are several days to a week out in most places due to high demand, so plan ahead and order now.
     
  • If you've run out of something and are having trouble finding it, lots of neighborhoods are pooling resources together to help each other through services like NextDoor
